About the Artist
The Renaissance man of Miami
Herbert Jean is a Miami-born fine artist, educator, and philosopher — the son of Haitian immigrants and a graduate of Florida International University. For over 25 years he has taught in Miami’s public schools while building a body of work defined by vibrant Caribbean color and dynamic, symbolic motion.
